Take the 2015 Avid Brand Perceptions Survey

Take the 2015 Avid Brand Perceptions Survey

Today we’d like to ask you to help us by taking our 2015 Avid brand perceptions survey. The goal of this anonymous survey is to capture your views about Avid today and better understand where you’d like to see us take the company in the future. This is not a traditional product survey, and we’re not really looking for specific feedback about product features here (if you’d like to provide specific feedback about our products, visit the customer forums on Avid.com/Communities). Instead, we will use the results of this survey to create an accurate snapshot of your current perceptions about Avid and the products you use (and yes, we want to hear the good AND the bad). We’ll use this data to learn more about how you think, to understand what matters to you most, and to give us a clearer sense for where you think we should focus in the future. TAKE THE SURVEY Thanks in advance for participating—we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and stories. So then here you go folks! Your chance to let it all hang out and direct the very future course of Pro Tools and your Avid experience! We’ve filled out the survey over 800 times so far....

Saturation Knob The Saturation Knob is a modeled output distortion that can be used anywhere you need some grit. Use it to fatten up bass lines, add some harmonics and shimmer to vocals, or simply destroy your drum loop. The three modes, Keep High, Neutral and Keep Low give you three kinds of characters of distortion. If you want to squash a drum loop but keep the bass drum fairly intact, you can for example use the Keep Low mode. Get your free Avid AAX Softube Saturation Plugin Here Watch Softube’s features and tutorial video here Since the Pro Tools 11 debut, our development partners have embraced the next-generation 64-bit AAX (Avid Audio eXtensions) plug-in format, porting over their plug-in catalogs at a rapid rate. Softube, a company that strives to deliver the most accurate emulations of vintage hardware from Tube-Tech, Summit, Trident, Tonelux, and more, led the way in the initial AAX 32-bit adoption, and continues to do so with its latest 64-bit plug-in releases. Experience AAX for yourself — get Softube’s Saturation Knob plug-in free by completing the form, and add some analog warmth to your tracks (includes both 64-bit AAX DSP and Native versions for Pro Tools 11 and 32-bit AAX versions for Pro Tools 10). Pro Tools 11 – Free 30 Day Trial from AVID

Pro Tools 11 – Free 30 Day Trial from AVID

Pro Tools 11 is the industry standard DAW – Digital Audio Workstation. You owe it to yourself to at least check it out for free for a month. Pro Tools is what you’ll find in major recording studios not to mention video, TV, and radio production facilities of all types and sizes. Here’s the link: Pro Tools 11 Free 30 Day Trial The word industry brings to mind the concept of industrial, or, business production. As a so-called industry standard Pro Tools is not your father’s DAW. It’s not (necessarily) for the casual home user or bedroom producer. It can be. It should be. But don’t confuse it with something you got out of a cereal box. It’s not that. It’s not Fruity Loops, either. Nothing against FL Studio, I love it. We taught the kids to write on it. What I am trying to say is when you use Pro Tools be ready to make a serious commitment to learn it properly. Not to mention the cash commitment as well. Many people “hate” on Pro Tools, not realizing the history of its development and its raw power. It’s complex. It’s dependable. And as such it has developed and evolved to respond to the needs of recording engineers and producers in professional studios world wide. Just keep that in mind. There’s a lot of power there, and with great power comes great responsibility. Er, that is, with great power comes a lot of studying and tech support and hanging out in forums to learn it! I hope you’ll give it a test drive. (You will need a piece of...
